Pixi Pretties 2018

I received another exciting package, which definitely improved my Monday!

It was this beautiful package from Pixi, Pixi always come up with amazing PR packages and this certainly did not disappoint! One year after the launch of the original Pixi Pretties collaborations, they partnered with several YouTube beauty influencers to launch all new products! The latest launches are in collaboration with Dulce Candy, ChloĆ© Morello and Weylie Hoang.

I just really can't get over how pretty this package is... Or quite how big it is! I struggled to get this into one shot!

Chloe Morello

Dulce Candy

Weylie Hoang

Palette Chloette - The palette of ChloƩ Morello has struck me the most. Neutral eye shadows and pink blushes are quite my thing. In addition to 3 beautiful blushes, there are 3 pairs of eye shadows containing all the shimmering shades (which can also serve as highlighters) I love a multi use product! There is also a trio of matte shades for the eyebrows, linings or contours. The colors are so pretty and portable, nothing too pigmented or bright. Eye shadow are overall pretty good, I would have liked there to be some more matte, especially if they are going to be used as brow powders. But I think she did a good job making this palette a complete face that is not too cumbersome. She has also created a gloss lip gloss that is beautiful on itself or layered on other lip products.

Coffee Con Dulce - This is again a lovely palette. I love that she has designed a universal palette that works for your face and eyes. It's A really affordable price for the amount of product included.. This is ideal for all skin tones. For shades that do not work as a highlight for you specifically, they make really lovely eye shadows. It is a powder with the consistency of the cream and these are really pigmented and intense.

Dulce's Lip Candy - Dulce has also created a palette of lips as part of her collection. These also look beautify really wearable shades and they have a lovely pigment to them. However, I am not really a fan of lipstick palettes as I feel that of all of my makeup I fell that lipstick is the item that needs to be topped up the most and its not really all that practical to be taking a palette with you day to day

Dimensional Eye Creator Palette -  Weylie's palette is a daily palette that appeals to most of us, as it has the most lovely everyday colours. It's also the idea size if you're traveling a lot or even just throwing your purse for makeup on the go. After all, there are not too many neutral pallets. Nope! It also includes a black double-ended kohl pencil and liquid eyeliner.

I am really looking forward to getting plenty more use out of these items, I can seem them been a favorite on my vanity!

Easter Home Wear

Now that it is starting to actually look like spring.. finally! I couldn't wait to get out my Easter decorations (plus a few new additions that I may have picked up for this year!)

The first item is this cute litlle guy I think that this is my favorite Easter item that I have brought this year, he is from The Range.

What a cute little basket this is also a new purchase and I found this in Homesense, this is one of my favorite shops to be able to have a browse around, it has so many little gems, I especially love the seasonal items. As you have already seen from my Halloween home ware post!

This item also fell into my basket in Homesense, it is a cute little tealight holder. It is perfect for Spring.  A girl can never have too many candles!!!

I had this wreath from last year, again from Homesense, I did see plenty of similar designs in there again this year.

Here is another item that I couldn't leave behind in Homesense "Hoppy Easter" I mean what isn't to like about this! It looks lovely on my fireplace and even lights up!

This is currently how my fireplace is looking this is generally what I change out seasonally, just so it stops me going to crazy around the whole house! I also have a string of Easter egg shaped lights across the top of the mantel. These I found on Ali Express for a really good price!

I found this bunting on Ali express it was so cheap so I wasn't expecting a great deal from it but I have to say that I am actually very impressed it seems well made and it is so cute! It looks lovely along my fireplace/

Here is the current center piece on my dining table with some little chicks and plastic eggs that were from an Easter egg hunt last year, and of course not forgetting the cream eggs! Well it wouldn't be Easter without some chocolate!

Fenty Beauty Galaxy Eye shadow Palette

I have finally been able to get my hands on this beautiful palette from Fenty Beauty! This is the first thing that I have tried from the collection and I have to say that I am impressed!

The packaging is beautiful even the outer box is gorgeous it is a lovely purple colour with an iridescent sheen to it, such a shame to throw this away, it currently looks lovely on top of my vanity table.

The packaging of the palette itself is very colorful to say the least and it is a study plastic with a decent sized mirror on the inside which is always a bonus for me especially if i'll be taking it traveling with me!

Now for the actual shadows themselves, they are definitely very vibrant and have a lovely shimmer to them. I have read some reviews that that have too much glitter and not enough pigment but I have not found this to be the case. They are all very pigmented and leave just enough shimmer for a lovely evening look. I probably would not reach for this palette for a more subtle or daytime look but that is definitely not what this palettes is aimed at! They are nice and blendable and they stayed put all evening.

Overall I am very impressed with this palette I hope that it will encourage me to be a bit braver with my choice of colours when it comes to eye shadow, as I do have a bit of staying safe and nutural

I am looking forward to trying more from the range for sure!

Evening Makeup Look

I have been having a play around with some of my make up to create this evening look, which is something that I really need to make more time to do! I did have a reason to get dolled up though, going out for a few birthday cocktails seemed a good enough reason.

I have been using my Revlon Colour Stay foundation which has been a favorite of mien for a long time. I have been setting my makeup with some setting powder from Pixi, which is a relatively new find but I am loving using it. I have used a palette from Nip + Fab this was actually in my advent calendar this year and I love it! Its just the right shades for me.

I have been sticking with my eyebrow pomade from Makeup Revolution, which again is something that I keep on coming back to. My eye shadow is mostly from the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette which was a Christmas gift and I defiantly love this palette I was expecting good things from this one as I have all of the other Naked palettes and I really do love them all. I had a go at a cut crease look which is something that I do want to keep practicing for sure. I added a little bit of glitter on the top using Mac's reflects gold which is such a lovely colour.

Finally my lip colour is from Phase Zeros new range this is a liquid lipstick, it goes on really well and did stay put pretty much for most of my cocktails!
