Dermamay

I have been trying out these patches from Dermamay.

There are two types the Bio Cellulose ones which Reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. Bio Cellulose Eye Patches are adapted version of bio cellulose face mask especially for the eye contour. Active serum is enriched in decongestant, anti-puffiness and moisturising agents.

The second are the Hydrogel Eye Patches with Cornflower is a version of face mask for the eye contour only. They fit like the second skin. The active serum contains unique ingredients such as Cornflower Water, Hamamelis Extract, Eyeliss. They help to enhance the skin smoothness and elasticity. The skin is moisturized and under eye puffiness is reduced.

I found both types worked well for me they did make the skin under my eyes feel tighter and looking less puffy, I always have some bags under my eyes as I never do get enough sleep!

The patches are very easy to use I started out with a clean face and then gently cleansed my face. The patches come in a peelable aluminum sachet. Each patch is placed between the blue non woven and nylon. Remove the blue non woven and separate the two patches on the nylon tissue. Take a patch and immediately apply under the eye. Repeat the process with the other patch. Adjust and leave them for 10-15 minutes.

They were comfortable to wear some that I have worn in the past are not as comfortable to have on the skin. As these patches were so thin I hardly noticed that I had them on. They also stayed in place there was no slipping which meant that I could carry on doing what I needed to do while the patches worked their magic.

You can purchase the patches here along with their other products such as their face masks:

Salon Science Haircare

The lovely people at salon science sent me some of their items to try from their Repair and Radiance range

I have long waist length thick hair and I have put it through the mill a bit. Between blow-drys and straightening it it can become a bit dry!

The first product is the Re correct Leave In Conditioner. First off this smells amazing, I can actually smell the product  for quite a bit after using it. I am a bit skeptical with some leave in conditions as I think they can weigh your hair down and make it look greasy. This was fine though it left my hair feeling great. I only used it on the mid sections of my hair down to the ends and it did leave my hair a lot more manageable and less frizzy. which is a great plus for me especially at this time of year!

Next I have the shampoo and conditioner this is a lovely lilac colour and it smells just as lovely as the leave in conditioner. I really like both of these products, the shampoo lathered up really well and the conditioner left my hair feeling silky smooth.

I tried their Smoothing Serum from the same range. I used this when my hair was damp I only needed a small amount, again I don't like products that will weigh my hair down. I then blow dried my hair as normal and curled it. The curls were lovely bouncy and glossy, it did stop the curls going frizzy which can happen once my hair has been curled for a while.

The final product that I tried in the range is the Thermal Cream. I think that this has to be my favorite item. I always try to use some sort of heat protectant on my hair and it nearly always has some sort of heat applied to it. This was brilliant the spray is really good leaving a fine mist which helps to evenly distribute the product. Again it smells amazing and did leave my hair feeling soft and kept the dreaded frizz at bay!! Hopefully this will help to protect my hair to.. It seems to be doing a good job.

You can purchase these from Boots, I have added the links below:

Mini Primark Haul

I had a trip to Primark recently, I didn't actually do that much damage for a change!

The first thing I picked up was these lovely pale pink ballet pumps. This probably isn't the time of year to be buying these pumps, but I think they will transition well to Autumn if paired with some tights, They can make a really simple outfit look put together by adding a pretty pair of shoes like these

Next up is this bardoe style top. I love the colour the image doesn't do this top justice, it is a lovely electric blue. I love the length of this on me, been a little on the short side tops can sometimes been too long this just comes down to my hips which I love. It doesn't seem to keep riding up either like some of the bardoe tops I have worn in the past. I have already worn this with some back skinny jeans and some heels for a lovely evening outfit.

These next to tops will be mostly for work, I love wearing floaty blouses they are just so easy to wear. I love the fit of the stripy shirt, this would look great dressed up or down. I would also wear this open with a tank top underneath. I will definitely  be getting some wear out of these two!

I have heard great things about these PS Pro makeup sponges these do not contain latex and they are very similar to my beauty blender. It does look quite a bit smaller dry but when wet it does swell up considerably, although not quite as soft as my originally beauty blender, it is very close. I am very impressed I think for £2 you cannot go wrong!

I picked up a couple more lip liners, I tried one of these on a previous Primark trip and for only £1 I was very impressed so it would be rude not to get a couple more! The texture of these are amazing and they are so long lasting, really can't fault them for the price.

I also picked up one of the chunky lip crayons, I tried one of these before also and again loved the texture the last one I picked up was a bit dark for me was a bit of a mauve shade so I think this one is more me so I am excited to try it!

Threads Beauty Lashes

I have always loved experimenting with False eyelashes there have been many brands that I have tried some working for me better than others!

My long time favourite has been Red Cherry, I have been interested in finding a brand to rival them. When Threads offered me theirs to try I was a little excited to say the least!

I have had these lashes a while now, there are 9 in the collection and they very kindly sent me all 9 to have a play with

The first pair are Angel Eyes these I would say these are a more dramatic look they are different lengths, these are brilliant for an evening look.

The Emiloo lashes are probably the fullest pair in the collection they are very dramatic indeed, they are still comfy to wear, something which I have found to be an issue with some brands when they are a really full looking lash. I did have to trim these down to size a little as they were a bit too full across my whole eye.

Next are Be-Bop these are probably the ones that I have worn the most so far these are shown in the image below I feel that these are one of the most natural and easiest to wear more often. I wore these out to lunch and they were comfy and didn't budge

Rock Chic, these are a very natual looking pair of lashes, they are quite thin, making them perfect for day to day wear. The individual lashes are crisscrossed again, I think this is a great look for creating volume without it looking to full on.

Vavavoom. These lashes are also shown below these are also fairly natural looking, they are a bit longer than the Be-Bop lashes. I love how the lashes cross over each other, I think this gives them a really unique look.

The Charleston Lashes are probably the last pair I would describe as been natural looking for a daytime look.
Again these were very comfortable to wear. What I like about this set is that they are alternative lengths which really helps make them appear fluttery, which I love.

Next up Celestrial, these are a more natural look for the center of the eye then get a lot longer towards the outer corners, they are also thicker towards the edge. These are really good for making a cat eye effect.

Red Cherri, these are quite a voluminous lash, although the ends are more wispy. I would say these are somewhere in-between been natural looking and a full on lash look. These were the perfect length for me they didn't need trimming at all

The last pair are Sex Kitten. The again are a fuller looking lash where the ends are different lengths which I love, they to are longer at the outside corners making them look very fluttery.

Each pair comes individually boxed and with its own small tube of glue. To open it you have to twist the end off which I thought meant that I would not be able to reseal it and use it again, but this was not the case. You can turn the lid around and replace the lid the other way meaning you can have multiple uses out of the glue. The glue does have a perlecent blue sheen to it which I did find a bit strange. The glue does dry clear and is very strong an didn't irritate my eyes.

So far the most I have wore a pair is 4 times and they still look as good as new I think that as long as you take the time to take care of them after they have been worn. I use m Clinique makeup remover this seems to do a great job of dissolving the glue. I think most damage can be done in picking the glue off. I also find if you do not remove the glue the band becomes to stiff and they are not as comfortable for the next wear, this is the same for any false lashes I have wore!

Overall I would really recommend these lashes I cannot fault them
