Outfit of the day!!!

Today its cold.... Again but I do love dressing for the winter love layering clothes and boots... As that means been able to put cosy socks on underneath!!!

I went out lunch today and a walk along the river so did need something warm and comfortable

This coat is actually very warm it's not quite as long as I would have liked it to be be, but only been 5'1" it's not much of a problem. I found this in Bhs Which I was pleasantly suprised at. The stole I found on eBay along with the dress!

The thigh high boots were from misguided and I have to say for how hight they are they are very comfortable. I was also worried that because they were thigh high they would be too long for em as I have such a short leg but they were fine. So maybe those girls blessed with really long legs these may be more like knee high boots!

Quick Makeup Brush Guide

I have collected so many makeup brushes over the years, and there are so many available it can be confusing as to what should be used for what.

I find that especially with eyeshadow brushes rhe best way is to experiment with different sizes to see which works best for you. For example I find bigger brushes better for blending but not for applying product as it normally ends up everywhere except for where I want it!

This is just a quick reference quite that you may find useful

New Years Eve outfit

I had a somewhat quieter New Year's Eve this year it was spent with family and friends in a pub close to home, so my outfit was not that extravagant but I still love an opportunity to dress up!

I actually found this top in the Lipsy sales after Christmas which was a nice find

It is a lovely flattering top but if like me you are not very blessed up top it required some body tape too keep it in place!

I dressed this with some shiny black skinny jeans I had purchased from Dorothy Perkins some time ago

And these shoes that were from Misshuided.co.uk early December

These were comfy to wear I have really narrow feet so there are some styles of court shoes that I have problems with them running as they do not stay out. Any shoes with an ankle strap like these are better I find and they are not too high

Festive Nails

Had a bit of a break from blogging, finding it hard to make the time to actually put the blogs together!

Did get a little bit creative with my nails chose some festive colours, red is not normally a colour I would choose but think it's nice this time of year

These are all Barry M nail polishes, something that I do have an obsession with!!

I had added acrylic extensions it's impossible for me to grow my own nails naturally!!

Last year was defiantly more creative with the designs! It just had more time on my hands 😃

These were done using Barry M nail polishes again and Rio nail art pens

St Tropez Lux Dry Oil

When I first saw this product advertised pit definitely caught my attention as I have tried many differny fake tans from creams mousse gels and sprays, but never an oil

The bottle looks beautiful as it's glass I think it makes it look like a really expensive product. It's a little more pricey than the St Tropez mousse but not by much

The shimmer settles to the bottom of the bottle so it did need shaking up before using it

It's very easy to see where you have applied the product thanks to the shimmer! But I did find it difficult to get the right amount as it's so runny I think this may get a little messy

Once it's blended in I really liked the colour it's defiantly not orange, I'm not to sure about the shimmer but once developed and the top layer has been washed off it looks good

I think I may try applying with a mitt as I just used my hands this time then cleaned up my palms with a baby wipe and it has not stained my palms. I'm not sure how much of it will be absorbed into the mitt? Don't think that a mitt is designed for applying an oil but I will give it ago

I'm writing is only two days after applying and so far it is fading evenly 😃 not sure whether it will last for it's stated 7 days though

Forever21 Summer favs

I had a trip to forever21 which is not a place I regularly get to visit only because there isn't one that close to me as I do love the shop, and it is very easy to get a little carried away. I actually didn't purchase a lot although there was a lot of things that did catch my I really would love to buy so many pretty things from there

First purchase what this mini dress. I just loved the print and that it is quite a tailored fit so many summer dresses have not much shape to them. I no the idea of a summer dress it to be cool so therefore a looser fabric but just loved this as it was different. It's a perfect length for me to as I struggle with a lot of dresses been a lot longer on me than on the models been only 5'1" this is a problem I have often lol!

The next item was this bright skirt. This was more of a hol purchase as I think it will look lovely with a tan and not so much with my pale pins at the moment. It's a lovely stretchy fabric though very eye catching!

The final item it this blue vest too again I just loved the colour and the straps as they tie together at the back making it a bit more unusual
