Festive Nails

Had a bit of a break from blogging, finding it hard to make the time to actually put the blogs together!

Did get a little bit creative with my nails chose some festive colours, red is not normally a colour I would choose but think it's nice this time of year

These are all Barry M nail polishes, something that I do have an obsession with!!

I had added acrylic extensions it's impossible for me to grow my own nails naturally!!

Last year was defiantly more creative with the designs! It just had more time on my hands 😃

These were done using Barry M nail polishes again and Rio nail art pens

St Tropez Lux Dry Oil

When I first saw this product advertised pit definitely caught my attention as I have tried many differny fake tans from creams mousse gels and sprays, but never an oil

The bottle looks beautiful as it's glass I think it makes it look like a really expensive product. It's a little more pricey than the St Tropez mousse but not by much

The shimmer settles to the bottom of the bottle so it did need shaking up before using it

It's very easy to see where you have applied the product thanks to the shimmer! But I did find it difficult to get the right amount as it's so runny I think this may get a little messy

Once it's blended in I really liked the colour it's defiantly not orange, I'm not to sure about the shimmer but once developed and the top layer has been washed off it looks good

I think I may try applying with a mitt as I just used my hands this time then cleaned up my palms with a baby wipe and it has not stained my palms. I'm not sure how much of it will be absorbed into the mitt? Don't think that a mitt is designed for applying an oil but I will give it ago

I'm writing is only two days after applying and so far it is fading evenly 😃 not sure whether it will last for it's stated 7 days though

Forever21 Summer favs

I had a trip to forever21 which is not a place I regularly get to visit only because there isn't one that close to me as I do love the shop, and it is very easy to get a little carried away. I actually didn't purchase a lot although there was a lot of things that did catch my I really would love to buy so many pretty things from there

First purchase what this mini dress. I just loved the print and that it is quite a tailored fit so many summer dresses have not much shape to them. I no the idea of a summer dress it to be cool so therefore a looser fabric but just loved this as it was different. It's a perfect length for me to as I struggle with a lot of dresses been a lot longer on me than on the models been only 5'1" this is a problem I have often lol!

The next item was this bright skirt. This was more of a hol purchase as I think it will look lovely with a tan and not so much with my pale pins at the moment. It's a lovely stretchy fabric though very eye catching!

The final item it this blue vest too again I just loved the colour and the straps as they tie together at the back making it a bit more unusual

French braid with volume

I have been experimenting with French braids for a while and want able to get volume that stays!

This time I sectioned off the frount bit of hair then pushed the piece behind up and secured with bobby pins

I then did the French braid over the top and it completely hid the bump underneath while keeping the volume

Seems an easy 2nd day hairstyle that has lasted all day al be it with a generous amour of hairspray!! :)

Will be a style I will be using again!

Spring Nails

I love this coral colour at the moment it's such a bright summery colour

Got a bit creative with my rio nail art pens to to create this design

My biggest challenge is to sit still long enough for them to dry without smudging

Still not sure on this nail shape. The are not as sharp as they look and think I have got used to them. Although I think that I still prefer the more square shape

Miracle Eyebrow review

I have tried so may products for styling my eyebrows, but I have never been 100% happy with the way they looked. When I was younger I had very bushy eyebrows, then as it was cool at the time completely obliterated them plucking them untill they were a thin line... An amazing look!! They have since grown back thankfully but have never seemed to be even.

I have used plenty of powders and pencils. I have to say I prefer how pencils seem to have more staying power but think that powers look a lot more natual.

Looking at blogs and on YouTube for ideas helps but most of the products reviewed are either not easily available in the uk or leave te eyebrows looking very dramatic which is not to he look I was after

I came across this item which I have found on eBay of all places and as it was so cheap thought I would give it ago. It's a coloured gel which I thought may give the best of both te staying power of a pencil without Looking too harsh. I have to say I have been impressed

I went with a mid brown and it is a thick gel that comes with an angled brush. I would say its a similar consistency to rimmels gel liner.

I left this swatch on my arm and it did stay put for a surprising long time did take some makeup remover to remove it completely.

Only thing I would say is that becaus it's so pigmented it can be a little hard to blend out. I will be using it for a while to see how it goes but so far I'm impressed especially for the price

Stiletto Nails

I have been loving the idea of stiletto nails lately. Although I have never actually tried them myself.

I did find it a bit harder to file them to this shape it took longer than leaving them square. Did manage most of it with my electric nail file then tidied up with a standard file

Chose a neutral colour for most of the nails then a simple pattern in the ring finger using a rio nail art pen

I do want to try a more complicated design next time

Summer inspired dresses

Did a bit of online retail therapy couldn't resist with all the summer stock that is now available

Actually didn't got that crazy only had 2 dresses was so many lovely things online that would be perfect for for my hol, not till July but not to early to start looking in my opinion!

Loved how eye catching this dress is. It's a lot thicker material than I though it would be but is very stretchy and figure hugging! Could we more of a evening dress or as I would call out out if you no what I mean!

I also order this dress. I love midi dresses.. In theory I think they look lovely but st 5' 1" I tend to have problems finding them that aren't passed my calves this is the perfect length.

Now we just need some warm weather!!

Vanity clean out

Actually enjoyed some rare me time organising my vanity love findin new storage ideas! Even moving things around, always end up using the same items. I end up finding items I forgot about.
